AM Resources Corporation (TSX-V: AMR) is a junior coal mining exploration company engaged in the acquisition, development and operation of mineral properties in Colombia. Its main project consists of an 80% interest in the Mina Luz property, a coal project encompassing a total of 100 hectares located in Patia, Cuaca region, which is about 70 km from the city of Cali, Colombia. In addition, AM holds a 40% interest, with an option to earn an additional 20% interest, in mining title EE2-141.

Colombia is the world’s fifth-largest exporter of coal. The country produced 89.4 million tonnes in 2017. Furthermore, 94% of Colombia’s coal is of very good quality and is classified as hard, with high heat-generating capacity.
